    Former members of Mushi Production go independent and establish the anime production company Soeisha.
    Animation production begins
  • September 1972
    Sunrise Studio Ltd is founded as a production site for Soeisha.
    Produces programs in cooperation with Toei, Tsuburaya Productions, and other companies.

    Sunrise’s first animated production “HAZEDON” (Tohokushinsha) is broadcast.

    Nippon Sunrise’s “N” arranged in a blue sun design. In terms of productions, “Space Runaway Ideon: A Contact” and “Be Invoked” were first released in 1982. The letter “N” is formed by white lines inside the blue circle.

    Keeping the basic concept of the previous logo, the SUNRISE company name is now integrated into the design to increase its overall visibility. The angle of the symbol and other elements took into account TVs and the flickering of scan lines on screens and preventing it being ruined.
